4 out of 5 stars The book is sweet. Daniel is my fave!   January 6, 2009
Fun quick read. I read it over a day and a half. The characters are also pretty well developed.

4 out of 5 stars Loved the book   December 30, 2008
This is a wonderfully written with surprising twists and turns. I could not put the book down and finished it in 2 days. I did not find the writer to be long on uninteresting "filler" writing. I could picture this being a true story. The only draw back for me that I noted is the use of British terms or phrases being used by the British author for the American characters. It would be unlikely that Americans from Nantucket would use British expressions. I definitely would recommend this book. A very fun read.

4 out of 5 stars Good vacation read   December 12, 2008
A great book to pick up when you find a little bit of free time here and there. Taking care of my 3 month old son leaves me little time, but when I could escape this was a great book to read.

2 out of 5 stars It was OK   November 20, 2008
The book was definitely not one of her best. I found the characters too 1-dimensional and the plot was somewhat predictable.

5 out of 5 stars Fun, beachy read   November 18, 2008

I loved this book. I wasn't surprised, as I am a huge Jane Green fan, and this book did not disappoint. The book was so richly detailed that you feel like you're right there on Nantucket! Bottom line, if you're looking for a deep, philosophical read, this ain't it, but if you want something fun and engrossing, pick up this book!
