Product Description
Birnbaum’s Walt Disney World, the most respected and well-known name in travel guides, takes readers to the world’s most popular tourist attraction. Since ours is the only guidebook that’s official, this book includes the most accurate information on prices, changes, and new attractions for 2010. Highlights include the scoop on "Magical Beginnings," Walt Disney World's specially tailored, money-saving vacation plan for families with pre-schoolers, and updates on Pleasure Island's new venues, eateries, and shopping opportunities.

This new edition includes detailed accounts of all that's new in the World, including shows, attractions, restaurants, and lounges; updates on ticket structures and advice on how to pick what's right for you; current coverage of the latest eateries on the WDW scene, such as Sanaa (at Animal Kingdom Lodge), The Wave (at the Contemporary), and T-Rex: A Pre-historic Family Adventure; and expanded descriptions of WDW's famous "character meals"--restaurants that let guests mingle with Mickey Mouse, Goofy, and the rest of the gang while enjoying breakfast, lunch, or dinner. We'll also feature fresh hot tips and new strategies for stretching your Disney vacation dollar!

I have every Birnbaum for WDW that has been published. The older ones were much more candid, I guess that becoming the "Official Guide" has its downfalls. If you don't know WDW like the back of your hand, buy this book, and study it. The books are informative and relevant, it really is like having a veteran showing you the ropes. I also read the "Unofficial Guide", I would not plan a trip without studying both. If you haven't been to WDW in a year, you need to read! Take the advice, have a much better trip, don't be the family that looks like they are about to have a meltdown. As a side note, I would not take any children under the age of 5, preferably 6 and above.

This book gives great information. Even though I go to Disney every year, I buy this book before my yearly trip to see what is new. Great write ups on the each hotel by area in the park, includes everything the hotel offers. Each park is broken down and a description is given on each ride, where to eat, the type of food in each restaurant, including restaurants in all the hotels. I recommend this book all the time to people who want to know what to do when at Disney.

4 out of 5 stars Birnbaum's Walt Disney World 2010 Guide   May 23, 2010

If you are going to take a Disney World vacation do not go without this book. Especially if this is your first trip to Disney. We have gone 4 or 5 times and it was just time to update our guide as it has been awhile since our last trip. This is "THE BOOK" to read before you start making plans and to take along. As I said this is not our first Birnbaum Disney book and it probably will not be our last. We have loaned out our old copy many times and this one is getting worn already but only by us so far. Just about everything you want to know about the Disney experience is here. I could go on and on but I would just bore you with the details. All I can say is if you are going to Disney get this book before you make your plans and keep it with you as much as possible. It will really help you plan your trip. You don't have to lug it around the park all day but you may want to make some notes and put them in your pocket. Everyone who has borrowed our older book has been glad they did.
