Do not travel without it! March 18, 2010 Cynthia Obermaier (Melbourne, Fl USA) This is a great book to take with you while traveling. We bought it some time prior to our trip and booked
on hotels he recommend. We saved a lot of money following his advice.
We will recommend to friends and family as well.
Rick Steves' Italy March 13, 2010 Michael J. Henderson (Huntington Beach, California United States) Terrific guidebook. I always travel with Rick's books now, since I find them to be simply superior to the others. His books take you by the hand to some of the most amazing and wonderful places you can ever travel to. Rick's guidebooks are updated annually, not every other year like the vast majority of guidebooks. And, for many of the accommodations he recommends, discounts are offered when traveling with his book.
Rick Steves Italy 2010 February 19, 2010 Jean A. Mccormick (Long island) I have traveled to Italy many times. Every other year I purchase Rick's book on Italy, I always learn many new things. March will be my 33 trip so I know what I am talking about. experiment a little take a chance and travel if you can.
Advice, Not Just Information February 7, 2010 goingsomewhere (LA, USA) We are still planning our trip to Italy, but are finding this book to be the most valuable resource we have. It goes beyond lists of hotels and lists of restaurants. This book truly gives tips, advice, and 'how to'. It's given us the confidence to attempt this trip on our own.
the best guide book ever January 27, 2010 Ellen J. Bell (Livermore, CA) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Rick Steves is specific about what to see, where to stay and what you actually get, what not to miss and how to get to everything. Oh, and how much it will cost. I have used other Steves' guidebooks, and he is right on the money.
