Product Description Color photos and maps throughout. Here you'll find every practical detail on the Mazatlan area that you need, as well as town and regional maps and sound travel advice from an author who knows the region intimately. Adventures range from cultural to physical. Learn Spanish in Mazatlan's top language school, explore nature at Teacapan, or wander around the Piedre Labradas, ancient stone carvings lying on the beach at Estacion Dimas, just north of the city. A walking tour of the city itself takes you to historic houses, delightful plazas, museums and gardens. Surrounding towns - Tepic, Guasave, San Blas - are also covered. Parks and reserves are given special attention, with tips for birders and nature lovers.

| Customer Reviews:
Author is clueless November 11, 2008 Sadly, I didn't read the preceding review before I ordered this book. I wish I could get my money back. It is a 196 page book. The first bit of info on Mazatlan starts on page 104. I was stunned to see in the section on water adventures that there were only 2 activities listed. Didn't the author notice that Mazatlan is on the coast? Very poorly written and a complete waste of money.
Not about Mazatlan December 14, 2007 6 out of 7 found this review helpful
This book is absolutely worthless. It is not accurate, the info is mostly outdated. Mazatlan is Paradise, and Moving to Mexico are way better guides. I can't think of any words to describe how terrible the information in this book is. After reading it, I wonder if the author has ever been even near Mazatlan.
