Editorial Reviews:
Product Description This opening fold-out contains a general map of Shanghai to help you visualize the 6 large districts explored in this guide, plus a wealth of practical information, handy tips and detailed maps to enable you to get the swing of the city. Discover Shanghai through 6 districts and 6 maps
Bund (Waitan)/ Nanjing Donglu Renmin Guangchang/ Nanjing Xilu/ Zhabei Old Town (Nanshi) Huaihai Lu/ Fuxing Lu/ Xujiahui Hongkou Pudong
For each district there is a double-page of addresses (restaurants — listed in ascending order of price — cafes, bars, tearooms, music venues and stores) followed by a fold-out map for the relevant area with the essential places to see (indicated on the map by a star *). These places are by no means all that Shanghai has to offer but to us they are unmissable. The grid-referencing system (A B2) makes it easy for you to pinpoint addresses quickly on the map.
Transportation and hotels in Shanghai The last fold-out consists of a transportation map and 4 pages of practical information that include a selection of hotels.
A thematic index lists all the sites and addresses featured in this guide.

Customer Reviews:
Great for mega cities. July 13, 2007 Chinese cities are hard to get a handle on because they're so large, so having something set up by neighborhood really helps. This was one of several guidebooks/maps I took to China and used it a lot - without it, I was lost as to where things were relative to each other. The fact that it listed key attractions in neighborhoods was very useful. Chinese cities are WAY too large for there to be detailed maps. And the small size of this mapguide is handy.
I'm a big fan of Access city guides, which are set up by neighborhood. This was the closest I could find for China.
OK, not the best I've seen April 4, 2007 It's a good map but not great.....doesn't provide all the details of street names, etc. It does have some good travel information
