ridiculous book! June 28, 2008 This book is terrible! The suggestions for what to feed a 4-7 month old baby are crazy. At the beginning of numerous recipes it suggests frying and onion, potatos, etc.! Why on earth would you fry anything for a 4 month old baby?!It also suggests cheddar cheese, and strawberries for babies under one year old. I am suprised the book doesn't mention sprinkling peanuts as a garnish on top of the fried onion, cheddar and strawberries. A basic understanding of babies and nutrition should be necessary if you are going to write a cook book for babies.
Not healthy June 26, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I think that whoever is writing a cookbook for kids should have a background in nutrition and should consider teaching kids to have a healthy eating habits. If you want your child to have good eating habits when he/she grows up this book isn't for you.
A must have- Organic MOMS May 28, 2008 This book has great recipes and pictures too. I don't mind having to read, but when I cook, I want to know what it's going to look like. This book has the best of both. I love how they categorize everything by months, so you know what's appropriate to feed your baby at each age group. Try it, you'll love it!
Love this book April 17, 2008 Beautiful recipes. Not too hard to accomplish. I'm quickly learning that although food may be exciting at first to an infant, they quickly get bored. It will take some time for my daughter to get into some of these things, but it was worth the investigation. Making your own baby food is MUCH easier than you think.
Some great recipes January 16, 2008 This is a fairly good cookbook. It groups the recipes by age of the baby/toddler/pre-schooler, and has some good ideas for creative snacks. My favorite recipe is the Dahl. It's basically lentils with vegetables; it's very easy and my pre-schooler actually loves it. We top it with plain yogurt and he devours it.
