4 out of 5 stars Needs a newer edition, but the essentials are first-rate   May 30, 2007

I had originally bought the DK Eyewitness Guide to Normandy, but THIS is the book to buy (and I've bought it since). It hasn't been revised for a few years so isn't entirely up to date on activities, restaurants, and hotels (which is what stops my giving it 5 stars), but for touring the area; visiting landmarks, cities, and towns; and for the section on the D-Day Landing beaches alone, this is a great book to have. It is more readable than the Michelin Green guide as well.
