This Story is my favourite of all time.

I know a young girl going to the australian Ballet Auditions She is only 12. The longer version is too long the young readers version is perfect. She really only needs to hear about his auditions and the Academy.
Not his parents marriage without meeting first, The older women with bound feet, Mao's communistic teachings for all villagers etc etc etc. Any adults or even later teens must listen to the full version. The most interesting story I have ever listened.

Against all odds,he achieves.
He was plucked from amoung millions of other peasant children to attend Beijing Dance Academy. His meals at the Academy were the first time he had ever had enough to eat. His untrained tendons and muscles were torn repeatedly by the contortions he was forced to do. He made life time friends at the academy. Sneaking off with a candle at night into the halls to practice by himself without anyone knowing as he had to achieve for his own sake and his families sake also. How can he help them if he fails and is sent home.

Must listen to Audio Great birthday or christmas present for anyone.

Extremely moving story. I would recomment this audio to anyone.
