Product Description Here is advice on incorporating different types of water features into the home. Indoor garden pools, fountains, and even tabletop water features are described as wonderful elements that can enhance a home's interior design. The handsome, instructively illustrated how-to books in this series cover a wide array of imaginative water garden concepts. Exceptionally attractive designs and ambitious projects can be carried out with surprising ease by gardeners who follow the author's clear, step-by-step, photo-illustrated instructions. nice eye-candy, wish it had more depth July 26, 2005 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is a 64 page book with photos. There step-by-step instructions (with photos for each step) for some of the ideas depicted. The photos of the results are very pretty, but not something like a beginner like me could achieve. There are a couple of photos of sample planted aquariums - I have a planted aquarium, but it's not something you would see out of a magazine or even an aquascaping contest (the photos in the book are)!
The instructions are very general. For example for one item you are told to paint with a "suitable preservative". Nor does the book go into much detail about the plants used, except their names, and that they will have to be trimmed or repotted often. I guess this is a good idea book if you you know more on your own about plants, the types of tools and materials you will be using.
