Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars Angkor Observed- an excellent compilation   November 18, 2007
Rooney has compiled the observations of 19th and early 20th centuty visitors to the Angkor Compex, and divided the book in to sections addressing the route there, the transport used etc as well as reactions to the temples. If nothing else this book is an excellent repository of sources that could be pursued for further research. it's engaging and readable and well worth it.
