ProfessorfromTN August 25, 2010 Stephen D. Krau (Tennessee) This book went with me everywhere! Rick Steve's books are among the most thorough and intersting guidebooks written. He was absolutely correct in all detail, and provided some great ideas "off the beaten track."
Review for Rick Steves' Paris August 23, 2010 mango113 (Charlottesville, VA USA) I recently went to Paris, and this guidebook was very helpful. It's light enough to bring with you everyday. I really liked how it told you which sites were free with the Paris museum pass, while other guidebooks didn't really mention that. I also liked how the book told you what times and which entrances were less crowded for certain popular tourist sites. All of the information was up to date and I did not find any mistakes.
Rick Steves is my hero August 21, 2010 Fitz_marie As always, Rick's books are a goldmine of information & history. In this book I found a hotel that no other book ever even mentions, located on an island next to Notra Dame, no one could find a better base of operations. Rick writes for the common man in a style that makes you want to pack up & leave on that trip ASAP. He is my travel guru!!
Paris guide August 12, 2010 femme246 Great book! Easy to understand information, directions, self guided tours and little tips that you don't think of. Can't wait for my trip!
An absolute MUST when going to Paris August 10, 2010 Gray Beard (IL USA) Where other guide books will simply tell you where to go, this one describes destinations in ways that make you want to visit them. It's thorough, highly helpful, and fun to read, particularly it's little human touches, plus its hand-drawn maps. Don't head for Paris without first reading this perfect travel guide.
