Product Description
You have never seen a guidebook like this before! The exciting new Moon Metro: Amsterdam delivers the most innovative print package of travel information available anywhere -- searchable by location or interest so you can access the information in the way that you want it. There is a complete 15-page street index that enables you to find and place yourself inside the maps no matter where you are; vivid color photos that capture the flavor of the sights and activities listed in each book; more than 100 pages of text written by local authors, who have carefully detailed the hottest sights, the hippest restaurants, the coolest entertainment, and the most stylish hotels. Highlights featured are Hotel Zosa, the Rijksmuseum, the Anne Frank House, Bloemenmarkt (the flower market), and Cafe Bern.

What the blurb doesn't mention: this is the only current guidebook to fully cover the trendy Eastern Docklands area, with its cool contemporary architecture (totally different from central Amsterdam) and hip shops. Few visitors make it to this neighborhood because it's not even mentioned in most guides. The book also tells you where you can take an excellent small-boat tour of the canals that's completely different from the usual tourist boats, as well as places to get great street food, like hot stroopwafels (crispy caramel-filled cookies) and the best frites (french fries) in town. Enjoy your trip!
