4 out of 5 stars Generally amusing   November 8, 2008

My job is verrrrry slow in the winter months, so needless to say I stand around for hours at a time. This book was a rather quick read but it saved me from my impending boredom for at least a few days. Like other reviewers have stated, not everyone can relate to what she writes about. I can't imagine anyone over 35 or male for that matter, getting much enjoyment from this book. Sometimes the content was a little scary, I almost felt like I had a long lost twin sister in NYC. Though some of her annoyances were silly and petty, I found this to be an accurate portrayal of an average 20-something's thought process.

1 out of 5 stars I expected more   November 2, 2008

I just thought this would be a lot more witty. I guess I was just expecting more.

I was hopeful that this book would be funny, and it's not even close. I thought it was boring.

5 out of 5 stars Just Browsing   October 9, 2008

I was just browsing in one of the airport book shops with no plans to purchase a book. I am in recovery from an eating disorder and when I saw this title it immediately drew me to the book. I started reading it and from the very first paragraph I could relate, not in a recovered eating disorder way but in a life way. I remembered when I myself lived in New York, it brought back so many of those teenaged memories. I had to buy it. I read the book by the time my trip was over. I loved it and would reccomend it to any female who is looking for those fun reminders of growing up and becomming a young adult.

5 out of 5 stars Funny and fun, nothing too deep...   October 9, 2008

This is a great book with all sorts of weird hilarious stories. At times it falls short, but it's worth the entertaintment value. Most of us can relate to these awkward bizarre experiences. And New Yorkers will love it!
